DMCA Policy

At mehans, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. This DMCA policy outlines how we handle copyright infringement claims in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

1. Notice of Infringement

If you believe that any material on our website, mehans.com, infringes your copyright, please provide us with a written notice containing the following information as required by the DMCA:

• Your full legal name and, if applicable, the name of the copyright owner you represent
• Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is acceptable for electronic submissions)
• Your physical mailing address
• Your telephone number
• Your email address
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, including a direct URL or specific location on our website where the material can be found
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed

2. Counter-Notice

If you believe that your material has been removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to us. Your counter-notice must include the following information:

• Your full legal name
• Your physical or electronic signature
• Your physical mailing address
• Your telephone number
• Your email address
• Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, including the location where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which mehans may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person

3. Response to DMCA Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

• Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
• Notify the user who posted the material that we have removed or disabled access to it
• Document the takedown action in our records

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in question after a period of not less than 10 business days and not more than 14 business days, unless we receive notice from the original complainant that they have filed a court action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material.

4. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, mehans maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers. We also may limit access to our Services and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

5. False Claims

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Before submitting a DMCA notice or counter-notice, please ensure that you have a good faith belief that your claim is valid.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this DMCA policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
